The Founders
Marc Baumgartner
Design Director UX
Marc leads strategy, product design, user experience and spatial design efforts at Codename.
Over the past 30 years Marc has designed and led projects ranging from the design of Olympic games facilities and large architectural projects to custom interiors, branding, user experience, product development, mobile and web design.
From 2007 – 2010 Marc held the position of Design Director and SVP Product at NowPublic.com, a participatory news network that grew to be one of the largest news organisations of its kind before its successful exit in 2009. During its time NowPublic was named a Time Magazine top 5 Website of the Year and received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Interactive Design.
From 2002 to 2016 Marc was a lecturer in Design, Theory and Research in the faculty of Critical and Cultural Studies and Graduate Studies at Emily Carr University in Vancouver.
Marc holds a Bachelor of Architecture (with distinction) from Carleton University in Ottawa (1994) and a Masters Degree in Design (with high distinction) from Central St Martins College in London, England. (2002).
Graham Dobson
Creative Director
Graham leads visual design, user interface and internal development efforts at Codename.
Graham brings over 25 years of design expertise to the table, having traversed the ever-evolving design landscape from print and advertising to the cutting-edge realm of web and mobile app design. His journey has seen him tackle projects for a diverse clientele, encompassing established companies, non-profit organizations, and startups. Across various sectors like the audio industry, education, news, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Blockchain technology, Graham has consistently delivered impactful design solutions and has crafted user interfaces and shaped brand identities for prestigious clientele, where his work earned a Webby Award in 2019.
Beyond the digital realm, Graham possesses a playful and creative spirit. His talents have graced many T-shirt designs, with some finding a home on the popular platform Threadless.
Graham holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (with Honours) in Graphic Design from Northumbria University in the UK.

Copywriter
Corinne is our go-to for content creation, working directly with our clients to extract, create and edit longform content for our web projects.
Bruno DeBondt
Senior Engineer
Bruno leads development on many of our Drupal-based not-for-profit projects. His projects with Codename include Seva Canada and The Indigenous Guardians Toolkit. When he is not taking on projects with Codename Bruno is the lead developer at The National Observer, a long-time client of ours.
